| Description | Our client works at the leading edge of many advanced technologies and provides specialist, technology-based services including design and development, testing, condition assessment and expert engineering consultancy. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to conduct stress analysis of components for condition assessment, fracture mechanics modelling, investigation of mechanical plant failures and with knowledge of pressure vessel design and assessment codes for the production of commercial and technical proposals and reports. The role will involve working mainly out of surrey offices and workshops, but also on client sites both in the UK and overseas. You will write technical reports and provide costing and proposals to our clients on a variety of projects in Industry, Utilities and Commerce. You will have a 2.1 or above degree in Mechanical Engineering with EITHER a PhD in a relevant field (Fracture Mechanics/ Stress Analysis/ Materials Modelling) OR a minimum 2 years work experience in a Mechanical Engineering Consultancy environment. The client supports continued professional development by encouraging graduate engineers to work towards Chartered Engineer status and allocates personal mentors to help achieve this.You will be encouraged to promotion of business through the writing of technical papers and presentation at conferences. |
